Very glad to finally find a good informative forum. I have a couple of questions.)
I'm attempting to skim my walls to level 5 finish. Under normal light, they look perfect but not with a flashlight test. I keep sending and adding mud but it's never good enough (OCD maybe) what level of perfection should I expect and how do I know if I'm there? Also, can I spray the primer-surfacer with an airless gun without damaging it?

i have seen guys make walls worse by trying to skim entire wall. its best to use very little mud in the skim coat. if too thick coating is applied the waves can get worse. if your already there try skimming a section diagonal and see if it helps ya.

look up roll skim too. its way easier on the arms. lol you roll on thin mud then knife it down, then sand. the knife part takes skills learned through years of doing it.

if there isnt light shining down the wall and its not hi gloss burgandy paint or something go easy on yourself. lol
