Ok, I'm a pretty proficient spackler, while I've been finishing lately I'm doing an 8, 10, and then I have a small bit to fill in the middle of my joints. Which I usually remedy by doing another 8 over the 10. It seems like when I use a 12 it doesn't fill in completely and I'll still have a tiny joint line.

Is this normal

i have had to do a little of that, also.. why? don't know.....

odd, you should be able to run seams with just 2 bed coats. even when i tape and bed in same first coat i dont have that trouble. is your mud really thin or is it very cold and damp on this job?
