Welkom mijn vriend :)
Greetings from New Zealand?? Are you from Old Zealand?? Isnt Zealand dutch or netherlands??
 no I'm not from Zeeland. But indeed Zealand is a province in the southwest of the Netherlands.
@gazman that was quick (youtube movie) do you always use paper or also mesh. Off course inside, but I mean in general?
Dutchy, (Can I call you that? No offense meant) I never use mesh, the only two tapes I trust is paper and FibeFuse.
Here is a thread about Fiba Fuse.

Yes you can call me dutchy :) sounds good!!

80% of all dutchy's work only with fiber mesh. in combination with a fast drying compound to prevent haircracks. Applying mesh is much faster with a good end result. Nowadays we don't have to do it manualy.
If you can do it without call backs, more power too you.
But we're here because we want to know how you guys do it and learn from it.

Rule Number one Mr Dutchy, Dont use mesh :whistling2:
Offcourse we look closely at our quality.

And also we've looked at the difference in quality. But honestly, we never had problems with fiber mesh. We also looked for documentation because we wanted to know if paper was really stronger than mesh. But so far we found nothing. Usual we use paper in the inside and mesh on the long seams.

i've heard ADFORS (saint gobain) has stronger mesh than we than we are used? is that true?

Well saint gobain make fibafuse, A lot of us are using it now and its a lot stronger than mesh ever will be, They claim its 70% stronger than paper but dont back it up, A lot of us have tested it in our own ways and are confident in it.

Some of us use it in corners as well with good results.

Fibafuse is more like a fiberglass woven matt compared to the open squares of mesh, If you can get some try it dutchy man

firstly a warm welcome dutchy

secondly, in regards to your question I think you already got the answer in the way you work - why papertape in internals and meshtape on flats and not everywhere the same( either paper or mesh)?
The reason is so we can work as fast ass possible. if we use paper, we use wet n stick. Its already folded. But generally fiber mesh. You guys work with a bazooka we use the flottrunner. we would like to gain knowledge and experience so thanks for the tips.

Mesh is faster for hand Tapeing.

People have experienced hairline cracks with mesh.

People have experienced blistering with paper.

Both statements are true. Both are a result of operators error.

Prost.
