Gotta Love 20 minute Mud (Ceiling Repair)

The Job: Repair failing tape joints @ an exterior entrance ceiling. 9' x 12' and 14' up. Skim Coat entire ceiling. Re-texture( Skip Trowel) drywall ceiling. Prime and Paint.

Timeline:

 Arrival time @ customer residence 8:30am in Melbourne, Florida.

1- Retaped and muded all of the tape joints 2 coats with two seperate batches of 20 minute mud.
2- Skim coated one side of the vaulted ceiling. One batch of 20 minute.
3- Skim coated the other side of the vaulted ceiling. One batch of 20 minute.
4- Ate lunch.
5- After lunch it was dry enough to apply the Skip Trowel texture.
6- Clean up & roll up. Outta there by 2:30pm.
7- Next day, time to Prime w/ Zinnser 123 and Paint w/ Sherwin Williams exterior super paint

Total time for entire job: Less than 9 hours.

    Nice skip, couple hundred bucks in your pocket and not a gruelsome day =D

    Oh, I like 5 minute too. But not for a ceiling repair this size and 14' up.
    You'd be doing to much cleaning and mixing. lol...
