My brother had to go into the painters' union 2 years ago. His dues are nearly $2 per hour. That 4 grand in "kick backs" to somebody who tells him once a month who to vote for. No paid holidays, no vacation, but he is working and many are not.

Mostly, I resent an organization telling me worker A and B are both to be paid x amount. I have the same thoughts on prevailing wages.
