does anyone have a system for them or do ya just give em out when they're deserved,or after a certain amount of time that an employee has put in with you, or after a new skills have been gained and employee is more productive?

Re: raises
Generally, the way i do it takes a full year before any raises....
although, just highly depends. For example, if you have a lot of production work, if one of my hangers/finishers really produces and stands out i like to bump him up after 6 mos. i rarely start out any employee wage or piecwork at 'high' ...usually low, at minimum wage. for obvious reasons, its always safe to the employer to set wages low as a foundation. i just feel its always easy to bump someone up on the pay scale, but much much tougher to bump them DOWN. |
