New guy "drywall rocks"
So i got laid off from welding and looked around town for some side jobs and came across a guy looking for a laborer for drywall so i gave him a call. After doing this for a few weeks i must say " I HATE YOU GUYS" This stuff is so cool and relaxing. There i am got the radio playing, nice warm clean area, saw horses, a razor knife, chalk line T square AND THE COOLEST GUN I EVER SEEN A SENCO CORDLESS SCREW GUN. For awhile i thought i was doing something wrong cause it was just to easy Measure cut and screw. I even had to ask "your seriously gonna pay me for this?" (10.00 an hour) No more getting burned from sparks, no more freezing my but off hanging steel, no more welding flash, no more carrying around 50lb bolt bags with spuds jabbing me, no more burning my but on hot steel I QUIT DRYWALL is the place for me. I even went out bought my own senco screw gun. My only problem is this taping and mudding Frank (an old italian guy) tried showing me how but after 2 hours he shook his head with disgust took my bran new kobalt 3" blade threw it in the trash handed me my screw gun and said "you makea me cry please never touch again ok?" Now aside from dropping a little mud here and there having a few bubles in my tape which i admit was a little crooked to start I dont think i did too bad So i guess i need a little work on that area

Re: New guy "drywall rocks"
takes time to get the hang of finishing.....it does'nt happen over night ! just keep with it if you enjoy doing it. it's hard to find good finishers !
