Hello Evo. How's the pace down there? Does proximity to DC stabilize your market?

Re: Hello from Maryland
Worked in Maryland for about 12 years.
Forget about trying to find work on the massive project in Parole (high rise). My contacts have already checked it out. They are importing a bunch of latinos from North Carolina to do the work. BTW - when they got their permits they slung all the right BS about how they were gonna hire locals. |

Re: Hello from Maryland
Hi guys. Proximity to DC does indeed stabilize the market! You can be pretty sure if you're a citizen you're out of work,if you jump the fence, swim or float over on a door and say "No Habla" you'll have work 7 days a week. The real kicker is that the Mexicans now get about the same as taxpaying workers here. It isn't the cheaper wages that make them the new work force,it's the fact that you can now have 6 or 8 days of quality hanging/finishing reduced to 2 or 3 days of 'make it white'. The homeowners are too busy ragging the supers about tub fixtures to notice the half inch gaps and pulverized corners. My coverage area has ranged from south and west of Baltimore up to York/Lancaster/Chester counties PA and down thru Delaware to O.C. MD. All these areas are now overpopulated with illegals which is why even though the construction industry kept the ecomony creeping along most small companies have been scraping week to week like a new labor for the last 3 years.

Yeah i worked with them and couldn't understand why they had such a small scrap pile. Then i looked at the man on the scaffold and noticed he was using 2 and 3 foot long pieces of bead. I couldn't believe it when i saw him doing it. |

Does the dog know the proverb, too? A little boy did not like the look of the barking dog. "It's all right." said a gentleman. " Don't be afraid. Don't you know the proverb. 'Barking dogs don't bite'?" "Ah, yes." answered the little boy. " I know the proverb, but does the dog know the proverb, too?"Progress is the activity of today and the assurance of tomorrow .(Emerson, American thinker )More Games, joke,Warhammer Gold and famous.
