easier way to 5 star finish. the D-mix
Hi Guys.
I use a system over 25 years now and I like to share the D-Mix with the forum. Before I start, I hope I don't violate any rules. The D-Mix makes finishing easier and the results are like a plaster finish. Easy to learn and very forgiving. no multiple coats and no sanding. Requires some skill but not the art of plastering. I will post after I get the green light. thanks dino Last edited by ycf dino; 02-17-2012 at 09:37 PM. |

Re: easier way to 5 star finish. the D-mix
By ''5 star finish', are you meaning 'level 5 finish'? If you do go ahead and post, the thread should probably be in the Drywall Finishing section.

Re: easier way to 5 star finish. the D-mix
This guy has been getting laughed off forums for years. "Please forgive, I come from Greece for only to be helping." Has 'em rolling in the aisles everytime.
He wants you to mix plaster of paris with AP mud and PVA primer and skim with it. I'm sure the manufacturers of all 3 would warranty that no problem. Then he's going to sell you a 'certification.' But now he'll get upset and take his magical mix away and never tell us the secret to EZ money. I'm sure I have now ruined it for everyone. Please forgive. I come from Australia for only to be helping. |

Re: easier way to 5 star finish. the D-mix
here is one old post.
http://forums.finehomebuilding.com/b...shipper?page=2 and another. (post #97524, reply #149 of 149) by HandySteve in reply to Anonymous [original] on Tue, 07/12/2005 - 02:41 awhile back I said I was going to try the D-mix on a space that will be covered by cabinets in the kitchen and as soon as I did that it was real evident how easy it was so I went right out into another room. The Home Owners were in shock and awe. The husband got so excited when I told him the EZ way....When I came back the next morning, he had started into the rest of the house. He finished the whole house days later. He's a believer. This guy is pretty much a desk jockey. So imagine my suprise and everyone elses when some regular joe can do this. WOW. Now that the walls are painted the results are pretty amazing. Im looking foward to the next job. Only hoping the HO doesnt jump in like this guy. I can charge $9.00/SF huh? Re: easier way to 5 star finish. the D-mix
I can level 5 a few ways. But as Vanman says, bring it on. Say what you want to say. I'd start a new thread in the Drywall Finishing section, though.

I had a call from someone saying he wants to give me all his work, I said what work?? He said all our work and we are offering it to you?? I said what company are you, how do you have all this work?? Turns out he was a web page for advertising, It was a drawn out conversation, Well planned and a new approch to advertising sales i thought, He got a bit sh!tty when i said its a waste of time and its all word of mouth in my small town and no one here will use a site like that. So no sale for him. Quite funny really, He had me wondering for the first minute or so, I said so this is just advertising, He replyed strongly, NO, we want to give you all our work, if you dont what it then plently of other plasterers do, Its your choice, we are offering it all to you first, For a small fee............Joke isnt it
